Horse hair, not foam
Packed horse hair, the way fight gloves were built before foam took over. Denser and firmer through the knuckle, and it settles into the shape of your hand instead of crushing flat. It breathes, so the glove dries between sessions.
Italian leather
Full-grain hide from an Italian tannery, uncoated. It breaks in to your hand and stays supple where coated hide and synthetics stiffen and crack. Firm and glossy new, softer through the palm a few months in.
Laced, not strapped
A strap tightens in one place. Laces tighten along the whole cuff, holding the wrist in line with the forearm for the full session instead of pinching at a single band.
