The horse hair range

Horse Hair Gloves

Packed horse hair · Italian leather · Handmade to order

Before foam, gloves were packed with horse hair. It compresses differently — firmer, flatter, and it settles into the shape of your fist over time instead of springing back. Fighters who prefer it all say the same thing: you feel the punch land.

Horse hair versus foam

Foam spreads impact and stays consistent for the life of the glove. Horse hair packs down where you hit hardest, which makes the knuckle firmer and the glove more punishing over time. That is exactly why some fighters want it, and why it is not the right choice for everyone.

If you spar heavily every week, foam is kinder to your partners and to your hands. If you want the traditional Mexican fight-glove feel, this is it.
